The use of genuine silk and the specialized wooden crate ensures premium quality and safe delivery, which accounts for the higher price point.

Why does shipping take so long?

Thank you for your patience. The extended lead time is due to the artisanal nature of this pendant light. The shade is made using a hand-sprayed silk technique — each layer of silk fiber is manually applied to the frame, which is a meticulous, labor-intensive process. After application, the shade must go through multiple rounds of natural air-drying to cure properly and achieve its signature soft translucency. Furthermore, to ensure the shade arrives in perfect condition without any dents or deformation, every fixture is packed in a custom wooden crate. The crate's large volume means standard courier services cannot accept it — we can only ship via a sea freight + express delivery combination, which naturally extends the overall timeline. If you need the item urgently, we'd be happy to help you switch to a different model with a shorter lead time, or change the material to faux silk fabric or Tyvek paper. These alternatives achieve a very similar visual effect, but at a much lower cost and with a significantly faster production and shipping turnaround.
