Treat the main fixture as ambient, not a task flood:

• 2700K warm white​ (sometimes 2400K “ultra-warm”) is the safest for winding down.
• Use a smooth, flicker-free dimmer​ and keep evening levels low (many parents run 10–30%​ as a “night-light mode”).
